Paddling for 350.org

Saturday I joined about 150+ other paddlers, water enthusiasts and eco superstars for the River of Action. The goal was to make a huge floating 350 in support of 350.org’s International Day of Climate Action. Rounding up and organizing almost 200 paddlers and boats is no easy task, but somehow we managed, and the end product was amazing. It feels good to be part of a global movement!

Of course, a climate action wouldn’t be any fun if there weren’t some animal costumes involved… and I do love paddling in a sasquatch costume!

Thanks to everyone that made Saturday possible, including Wend Magazine, Keen, Epicocity, Alder Creek, Next Adventure, World Kayak, The Kayak Shed, Northwest River Guides, Mayor Sam Adams office, Mark Gamba and all the other various volunteers that made the action a reality.
